BRIX deltog i och presenterade Belt and Road Initiative och BRIX arbete i Inköpardagen i Skellefteå den 27 februari 2019. BRIX ordförande, Ulf Sandmark presenterades till deltagarna på morgonen för att förklara kort vad BRIX och BRI är.
Senare under dagen höll Ulf en speciell presentation om BRI / Nya Sidenvägen och hur Sverige och Norden skall förhålla sig till den.
